The residual mix in Europe was calculated by the EU-sponsored project, ‘Reliable Disclosure Systems for Europe’. This project, commonly referred to as RE-DISS, had its first phase for the 2010 – 2012 reporting years and its second phase, RE-DISS II, for the 2012 – 2014 reporting years. As of 2015 the residual mix will be calculated by the Association of Issuing Bodies (AIB). The AIB’s members are Europe’s energy certificate system administrators, the competent bodies for the guarantees of origin.

European residual mix information is commonly reported in May of the following year. This means that residual mix calculations for 2016 are expected in May of 2017.
